La Riche 'Directions' Hair Dye (Lagoon Blue) Review

Hello people of Earth. Today, I'll be reviewing a brand of dye called 'Directions' by La Riche. Okay, so; I'm kind of well known within my friendship group for being the one that dyes my hair different colours all the time. And it tends to be rather bright, vibrant colours. And so, since I had enough money to afford hair dye, I decided to choose a colour and brand that I'd never used before.
I stumbled across 'Directions' by La Riche whilst browsing eBay for coloured hair dye, and instantly fell in love with one particular colour... Lagoon Blue. A bright shade of blue that looked very energetic and perfectly suited my personality.
And so, I ordered that colour, waited for it to be delivered. (Delivery took a week which irked me a little.) When it did finally arrive, I bleached my hair and then applied the dye as always. I ordered two pots for £6.45 (As I planned on keeping my hair this colour for a 4 week period.)
And so, I took the first pot I came across in the packaging. I noticed whilst I was allowing the dye to dissolve into my hair that something wasn't quite right, the colour pigment seemed almost transparent, you could see the blonde hair underneath and it appeared that I had no dye on my hair whatsoever. 'Maybe that's just the way it works' I told myself and continued on with the process.

However, once I rinsed the dye off and began to dry my hair, I noticed that the colour was not 'Lagoon Blue', the beautiful shade that I'd fallen in love with. Instead it was a mixture of baby-blue, seaweed-green, muddy-brown and bleached blonde. All in horizontal (and vertical) stripes across my head. Having a wedding to attend on Saturday, you can imagine I wasn't too pleased with the result.
And so, since I really had no other choice, I took the second pot and applied it after wetting my hair again. This time, you could see the dye on my head, things were looking up. Again, I rinsed the dye and dried my hair. This time, it was much, much better. The colour was a lot brighter, it wasn't as patchy and there were no more blonde sections.
One single strip remained green-ish at the back, but I managed to blend it in with the rest of my hair. All in all, the end result was *more or less* what I was hoping for. However, due to the dodgy first batch and slow delivery, I find myself giving this product a '3-star rating'.
